Alot of people over here don't view mopeds as serious transportation, they are usually the ones driving huge Sport utility vehicles. Heres a question, what do you guys do with your A-35 clutches? Do you stick with the stock cork clutch shoes?

Right now I'm using the stock clutches, but i'm working on building a set of race clutches. On the left are the stock clutches with no material, on the right is the clutch pads I intend to use. Afbeelding

I'm not sure if they will grip better but they should at least last longer with a modified engine.

We here at the forum are very interested in reinforced clutches :!:
If you succeed you will be the first on this forum with a real race-clutch.

wel it looks good

but is not going to work perfect on a good modified engine.

The problem is not the gripping surface, but the segments are "gegoten" aluminium. They brake with the slightest perfomance.

better take a look in my project page, you'll probably understand the plans.

but i wish you goodluck.

and btw,

dont you shorten te spring? 1st clucht by minimum of 1 cm, and the second clutch a cm of 3? then you can use the power that your engine can generate. You'll shift later, and at the right time, so you will not have dips

I see, I haven't broken any clutches yet, just worn the pads off but I'm not putting out alot of power. Your clutch design looks real good.

Got the wheel painted and have a small plastic fender test mounted, I'm not sure I'll keep it though.

hmz how do you mount the Rpm counter?

I had a solution by mounting it on the flywheel, so it really measures realtime RPM. But unfortunately my waterpump gos on now.

(its only an idea, not really worked out)

This tachometer hooks up with 2 wires, one hooks up to power and the other connects to the coil.

I havent got much done lately, but I instaled the new exhaust yesterday. It seems to add a good amount of power higher up in the rpm's.It has a great sound also.

isn't it the one that the other canadian fellow bought from that moped tuner? And that its has a flaw and is prduced wrongly?

Yea, its the same pipe. He was using it on a 65cc, it seems to work fine for my 50cc cylinder. The pipes we both got were from the 1st batch of 10 made or something like that so there were bound to be some issues, but they should be fixed for later batches. I thought it would be more of a bottom and mid range power pipe, but it seems to really help higher up in the rpm's. I'm going to weld on a larger head pipe at a later date and see if that adds any extra power.
