Hello friends, I write from Germany. I have bought a Tomos new youngst Racing ( 45 km/h) . Can you say where is the throttling and how can I remove it.

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean, but I believe you want to remove certain parts that make your moped go slower?

I am not familliar with the specific model you mention, but usually on a moped you can enlarge the carburettor manifold and enlarge the air intake (than change to a bigger fuel jet and/or moun ta bigger carb.). Also you could grind down the cilinder head, making the combustion chamber smaller.
Besides that and changing sprockets there is not much else you can do (besides tuning your cylinder)

If you want to go faster it is easiest to buy a new exhaust.

If you don't understand the Dutch language don't expect much help, there aren't many users that master the english language very well. Others (like me sometimes) just don't feel like translating every sentence.
What will happen now is that you are going to ask questions that are mentioned a million times on the forum. Isn't there a good German Moped forum??

what do you mean with throttling??

I want to drive faster then 45 km/h. And I think this engine has more power. In german Moped forum there is no experience with TOMOS.

there are many ways to make your tomos go faster. But it depends on how much money you want to spend on your tomos. Can you get aftermarket parts for tomos in germany? how fast do you want your tomos to go?

no, its not possible. How many teeth does your rear sprocket have? If you want to go 60km/h, you need a different exhaust, and 22 teeth on your rear sprocket. But i dont know where you will get your tomos parts from

Dear Topic Starter, you will not succeed to speed up your moped without spending some money on the job. Like the previous poster already mentioned, most people start up with replacing their exhaust. However, even a simple job like that mostly requires upjetting the carburetor, because otherwise you would have most probably a lean mixture. And i recall, this could be a possibility, i'm not saying it is though.

By changing your exhaust, it should result in more power. However, you still need to convert that power into speed. Mostly with another rear sprocket as the previous users already told.

And then, if you're lucky, you will reach 60km/h or beyond. Also, depending on what engine you have, but i presume you have a standard A35 engine, there is a wide availability on second-handed exhausts for less then 10 cents. Some are even for free! Check your local online marketplace
